FERTILIZERS – PHOSPHATIC
Bhabha Atomic Research Center has developed a technology for making phosphatic fertilizers from distillery sludge. The process converts post-biomethanation sludge into high efficiency phosphatic fertilizers, which are better than chemically synthesized phosphatic fertilizers—those fertilizers made with BARC technology, since they are derived from bio sludge, are ‘slow release’ and hence increase crop yield at half the recommended dose.
This fertilizer contains more P2O5 than the conventional Single Super Phosphate (SSP). For the same or better crop yield, the farmer would use 25 per cent less of this fertilizer than the conventional SSP.
The process basically involves blending of SSP and phosphate-soluble bacteria with bio-sludge, which improves the phosphate content of the mixture.

BARC has a similar technology for producing Zinc fertilizers from bio sludge. Here again, it is a blend with conventional Zn technologies.

For both these products, you would need SSP and Phosporic acid for phosphatic fertilizers and Zinc sulphate heptahydrate for Zn fertilizers
To manufacture this product, you would need 2-3 rooms.
